Getting to Gites de Brives: by car, plane or train
Getting to Brives sur Charente (45 40 03 N 0 27 13 W) is easy - exit the A10 at junction 35 (Saintes). We are 5 hrs from St Malo and Caen; 6 hrs from Cherbourg, Le Havre and Roscoff; 7 hrs from the Tunnel, Calais and Boulogne.
You will enjoy using your car while you are here because there is so much to see and do!
Train: TGV (Paris to Angouleme or Saintes, 2 hours -ish). Connexion to Cognac (local station).
Local Airports: Angouleme 30 mins, La Rochelle 1 hr 10 mins, Bordeaux 1 hr 15 mins. It is also possible to fly to Nantes, Poitiers or Limoges but the airports are almost a two hour drive away. Try Ryanair, Easyjet, BA, Flybe, BMIBaby and Air France.
